Women Working with Women Empowerment (4WE) is a 501.(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting diversity and equity by providing opportunities to develop and cultivate the personal and professional skills of women who have historically been excluded or underserved. This requires a comprehensive approach to providing resources that address a woman’s mental and physical well-being. Women are assisted in all facets of their lives including becoming better parents; building self-esteem, becoming self-sufficient; becoming healthier, becoming more marketable in their chosen careers, and becoming business owners; through leadership, education, and networking.
The vision of Women Working with Women Empowerment is to empower women who have historically been excluded or underserved to maintain a forward motion by helping them understand their capabilities and teaching them to build self-confidence while providing emotional and spiritual support and developing strategic partnerships with existing organizations. We envision a safe space where women are empowered, uplifted, and encouraged to help one another evolve.
The core values of Women Working with Women Empowerment are embodied in the vision of providing women with emotional, spiritual, and practical support by teaching them how to assess and understand their strengths and capabilities so that they build self-confidence that results in tangible outcomes. The organization focuses on four main areas: (1) Literacy, (2) Business Creation or Employment, (3) Self-Sufficiency, and (4) Health and Wellness.
1. Literacy – Including Reading and Writing, Financial Literacy, Health Literacy, Cultural Literacy
2. Business Creation / Employment– Job Development, Entrepreneurship, Employability Skills, Job Retention, Career Advancement.
3. Self-Sufficiency – Life Management Skills, Networking Skills, Self-Care, Home Ownership, Reentry Skills, Motivation and Enhancement.
4. Health and Wellness - Mental, Emotional, and Physical well being including nutritional health.
